Some ex- militants of the Niger Delta have thrown their weight behind the present administration and accused some desperate politicians of sabotaging the efforts of the government.
Speaking through its spokesman , Chief Ben Ebikabowei-Boyloaf after a meeting in Agadagba Obon, Arogbo in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State , the group expressed concern about the state of the country’s economy and advised the federal government to increase the Gross Domestic Production, GDP with a view to addressing the problem.
The meeting was a fallout of a previous one held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State .
Chief Ebikabowei-Boyloaf posited that the economy would improve when production exceeds importation saying that the nation had no reason to suffer if its numerous natural resources were properly managed.
The Ex-Niger Delta Warlords encouraged President Bola Tinubu to ensure the country meets up its OPEC quota with a view to bridging the wide gap between export – import ratio.
On the issue of insecurity facing the country , they called on the government to make use of certain willing stakeholders to collaborate for peace to return to the country.
