Ondo state governor Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa says his predecessor late governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had prophesied that he will be the next governor of the state after him.
The governor stated this when he received elders forum from the eighteen local government area of the state at his office Alagbaka Akure.
Governor Aiyedatiwa while soliciting for the support of the APC elders forum said the elders have a great role in sustaining the party and ensuring victory in the upcoming governorship election slated for November 2024.
Governor Aiyedatiwa said he is mentally, physically and spiritually ready to contest for the governorship election.
The governor said during his short term in office his administration would soon employe one thousand teachers for primary and secondary schools in the state.
The governor said aside the return of contractors to sites,he has approved the construction of sixty kilometre of internal roads in the state,filling of portholes and returning akure to one of the cleanest in the country.
Operation clean and Operation flush have been inaugurated to check flooding and keeping the state clean especially the state capital.
Responding deputy leader of the elders forum Alhaji Jamiu Ekungba some elders such as senator Ajayi Borofice,Alhaji Jamiu Ekungba,Mr Olusola Iji while appreciating the governor for his developmental plans pledged to support his ambition.
