At least one person was reportedly killed and others injured with several vehicles destroyed following a violent clash between suspected cultists in Pakata , Ilọrin West local government area of Kwara State.
Radio Nigeria gathered that a suspected cultist simply identified as Abiodun gundown a member of rival group named Yusuf over a disagreement.
It was learnt that the deceased married recently with a pregnant wife
The suspect (Abiodun), who had since fled the area after the incident is still on the run.
However, the situation degenerated when the deceased group stormed the residents of the suspect at Gana compound, Pakata, with guns and cutlasses amidst other dangerous weapons to avenge his death.
Over six cars were destroyed and many people sustained varying degrees of injuries during the attack.
Confirming the incident ,the spokesperson of Kwara state Police Command ,DSP Ejire-Adeyemi Toun
said investigation is still ongoing on the incident.
