It was all celebration at the St Joseph’s African Church Odonoko/Odoroga Parish of Ijebu province, Ogun State as members converged to commemorate its 120th anniversary.
The event also featured special thanksgiving and launching of the church’s multi million naira projects.
Speaking on the theme, “His mercy endureth forever” the diocesan bishop, The Right Reverend GO. Folorunsho admonished the congregation to be thankful to God always.
According to Bishop Folorunsho, if not for God’s mercies, the nation would have been in turmoil.
The clergyman tasked individuals to always contibute their quota to the growth and development of the church and the nation at large
Recalling the past experiences the church had gone through, the Bishop Folorunsho reiterated the need to never forget the mercies and blessings of the Lord appealing to the sons and daughters of Odonoko/ Odoroga to always remember their roots ,by fully participating in the activities of the church.
In a remark, the Vicar of the church, The Reverend Canon P,O. Olorunfunmilola appreciated God for making the day a reality.
While appreciating members of the church for their loyalty and support, Reverend Canon Olorunfunmilola however appealed for more collaboration to move the church forward.
Highlight of the occasion was the dedication of the floor tiles donated by the family of late Otunba Theophilus Adeniyi and his wives.
The decoration of the church was also dedicated.
