The Chief Imam of Gbadamosi Memorial Central Mosque, Adebowale Ondo Road, Akure, Alhaji Hussein Imoyomi-Mohammad wants those in the corridory of power to lead by example and live right for a better society
Speaking during the two rakat prayers marking this year’s Eid El fitri at the mosque’s prayer grounds , Alhaji Imoyomi-Mohammad maintained that nobody could attain leadership position without God’s approval hence the need to pray for leaders .
The chief Imam said that God who created the leaders could make them to work in favour of the masses
He however advised the political office holders to fulfil their electoral promises and ensure their policies were people’s oriented because they would account for their roles before Allah
Speaking on this year’s celebration , Islamic scholars including Alhaji Sọ́liu Ọwamoyọ̀ (rmrd), Dr Jamiu Jabar, Alhaji Sakariyau Gbadamosi and the NUJ chairman Prince Leke Adegbite appreciated Allah for sparing their lives to witness the day.
