Ahead of the governorship primaries of the A female governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ondo State, Funmi Waheed-Adekojo, has urged members of the Party to consider her competence, gender and experience over other male aspirants from other Zone.
Mrs Waheed -Adekojo stated this in a press conference held in Akure, the state capital.
The female APC aspirant explained that though zoning would bring about equity within the party, other factors should be put into consideration for the party to produce the best flagbearer that would transform the state.
Mrs Waheed Adekojo pointed out that it would not be out of place of the party leadership support the only female aspirant who was poised to change the political event by if given the party’s ticket.
The APC aspirant who highlighted her roles and achievements in nation building said if given the party’s ticket, the state will witness rapid development which has eluded the state over the past years.
Mrs Waheed-Adekojo urged the male politicians to give her room to prove herself and surpass the achievements former governors in Ondo state.
