The People’s Democratic party (PDP) Kwara State chapter has suspended Party activities in honor of the late former Kwara South Senator, Rafiu Adebayo Ibrahim .
In a statement the State Publicity Secretary, Olusegun Adewara, said the party has suspended all party meetings, rallies, and other political gatherings until after forty-one days, when all post-funeral rites and prayers are expected to have been completed.
The statement mandated that all members, forums, caucuses, youth associations, elders, and affiliated stakeholders of the party to understand and strictly comply with this directive.
The statement said the decision was made to provide the Party and its leadership with ample time to mourn the passing of the distinguished Senator, Rafiu Ibrahim.
The statement also directed all its flags hoisted in Secretariat across the sixteen local government areas of the state to be lowered in reflection of the sober state of the party.
