Ondo state house of assembly has held a special session in memory of late Mr Alexander Akinadeju.
Late Akinnadeju was a former member of the House of Assembly representing Idanre Constituency between 1999 and 2003 under the platform of the Alliance For Democracy (AD) in Ondo State.
A former speaker, Mr Ayo Agbomuseri who served with the deceased described late Akinadeju as a seasoned politician who was well rooted in the business of lawmaking that brought development to the people of idanre kingdom.
Mr Kenneth Olawale on his own part said late Akinadeju stood by his words and discharged his duties without fear or favor .
Other lawmakers , friends and colleagues in separate speeches said it was not a time to mourn but a time to celebrate and cherish the memory of a man who lived a fulfilled and purposeful life.
Akinnadeju as a peaceful and dedicated member of the House who lived his entire life for God and humanity.
In an address, The speaker Mr Olamide Oladiji sympathized with the family of the former legislature, saying his meaningful and robust contribution to legislative matters would not be forgotten in a haste, and would be greatly missed.
Mr Oladiji said during his time as Member of this House, Mr Akinnadeju was a loud voice in the defence of the oppressed and the underprivileged.
The Speaker later prayed to God to grant the departed soul eternal rest.
The former lawmaker, Alex Akinnadeju died on the 27th February, 2024 at the age 85 years.
