Ondo state Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa has enjoined legal practitioners to continue to tow the path of justice, fairness and equity in the overall interest of the masses.

Governor Aiyedatiwa made the remark at the commissioning of the Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, bar centre Annex in Ibadan in honour of the Former Governor of Ondo state and former president of the Nigeria bar Association, Late Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.

The Governor who was represented by his deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami acknowledged the positive impact late Akeredolu made in fighting for justice and equity as a senior advocate of Nigeria and also a politician.

Aiyedatiwa said late Akeredolu would continue to be a beacon of hope for the common man considering his impact to Ondo state and Nigeria at large.

The chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Olukayode Ariwoola and Attorney General of the Federation, lateef fagbemi said the edifice would serve as a hub for advancing fairness and social justice.

Former first lady of Ondo state, Chief Betty Anyanwu Akeredolu said her husband was a true patriot who worked tirelessly for the development of his profession and economic advancement of Ondo state.

 

 

Other legal icons present at the event described late Akeredolu as a noble nationalist whose voice of reason on national issues and federalism would be missed.
