A bill for a law to prohibit forceful entry and illegal occupation of landed properties, violent and fraudulent conducts in relation to landed properties in Ondo State have been committed to committee on lands end housing
Debating on the second bill which is being sponsored by the Parliamentary Secretary of the house,Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju,the Lawmakers said that the bill is coming at the right time and when passed into law will put at bay the activities of land grabbers and protect land owners.
They also stated that land grabbing is very rampant in Ondo State, as people were lossing their properties, while some are being scammed by agents,
in view of this, the Lawmakers affirmed that the bill when passed into law will eradicate forceful invasion and land grabbing thereby further fostering peace and development in the State.
The Speaker of the house Mr Olamide Oladiji in a remark th directed the committee on lands and housing to properly work on the bills and submitted to the house in two weeks for immediate action.
