As part of measures to ensure efficiency and quality delivery of legislative duties at the green Chamber, the Speaker House of Representatives Dr Tajudeen Abbas has reshuffled some committes in the House of Representatives.

The Speaker in reshuffling of some Committes appointed, Mr Abdulmumin Jibrin, a former House Committee on Foreign affairs to head Committee on Housing and Habitat

Mr Jibrin will be replaced as chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs by Oluwole Oke.

The new chairman Committee on Housing and Habitat who has served as Executive Director of the Federal Housing Authority is expected to bring his sound academic background and wealth of experience in the legislature as former chairman House Committee on finance, Appropriation, transport and foreign affairs.

Mr Abdulmumin Jibrin, a member representing Kiru Bebeji Federal Constituency of Kano State, committee’s oversight function covers the Federal ministry of housing its departments and agencies of the federal government which deals with housing as well as habitat Agenda principles and commitment regarding sustainable development.

Mr. Oluwole Oke, who was initially the chairman of the Committee on Judiciary would now be replaced by Abdullah Mamuda

Aminu Balele, initially the chairman of the Committee on Housing and Habitat, is now the chairman of the Committee on the Army.
