The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has embarked on a groundbreaking initiative to strengthen its fight against corruption through collaboration with the Chinese Police.
This strategic partnership which aimed at leveraging advanced technologies and expertise to combat various forms of corruption that plague both nations took place at the boardroom of the ICPC in Abuja.
During the agreement , the Representative of the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr Hou Wen Yu, the Counsellor Police Attache who paid a courtesy visit to the Chairman of the ICPC emphasized the collaboration would enhance the fight against Corruption in the two Countries.
The chairman of the ICPC Dr. Adamu Musa Aliyu stated that the ICPC was established in the year 2000, which has been at the forefront of Nigeria’s anti-corruption efforts, focusing on investigating and prosecuting corrupt practices across public and private sectors as well as prevention of corruption, public enlightenment.
Mr Aliyu said the Commission also targeting youth mobilization, stating that Its collaboration with the Chinese Police underscores a commitment to utilizing innovative approaches in tackling corruption, recognizing the global nature of this pervasive issues
