Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has distributed 25 gadgets fitted Patrol vehicles to security agencies to further strengthen the security of lives and property of people in the state.
Governor Aiyedatiwa handed-over vehicles to heads of the security agencies in the state which included the Nigerian Army, Nigeria Police, Nigeria Correctional Service, Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps , NSCDC and Amotekun corps.
The Governor said the move was a further demonstration of his administration’s commitment to providing the needed support for all security agencies in the state.
He praised late Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for his concern and sterling contributions to providing adequate security for the people stating that the present administration would continue to complement the feat and then appealed to security agencies not to relent.
Governor Aiyedatiwa further noted that as the state prepare for the governorship election,the five vehicles would assist security agencies in checkmating criminal activities admonishing everyone to be security conscious.
Earlier, in a welcome address the secretary to the state government , Mr Tayo Oluwatuyi described the move as worthwhile while the state commissioner of police , Mr Abayomi Oladipupo said the security agencies in the State would Synergise to ensure a crime free Ondo state.
