The Ondo State Directorate of National Orientation Agency (NOA) has called on residents of the State to observe the July Edition of Environmental Sanitation Exercise Slated for tomorrow Saturday 27th July, 2024 between 7AM-10AM with full restrictions of both vehicular and human movement.

 

In a Press Release issued from the office of Ondo State NOA Director, Mrs Adelayo Adefolalu by the Public Relation officer, Prince Ralph Oguntibeju urged the people of Ondo state to come out and observe the exercise by clearing their surroundings, maintaining clean environment and keep to principles of hygienic surroundings which is key to well being of healthy living.

 

Mrs Adefolalu urged residents to stop the habit of indiscriminate dumping of refuse and specks of dirt in the gullies, drainages, canals, and rivers, saying all waste should be properly disposed and destroyed in accordance with the waste disposal principle of the state environmental laws. She assured the people of government efforts to always ensure that Ondo State is safe from any form of diseases outbreak.

 

The NOA Director called on the Community Orientation and Mobilization officers (COMOs) across the 18LGs to closely monitor the exercise and work with all relevant stakeholders in ensuring the success of the exercise. She warned members of the public to comply with the environmental sanitation extant rules as anybody caught during the period of the sanitation shall be dealt with.
