As the people of Ondo state eagerly await the November 16, 2024 governorship election, Labour Party (LP) has officially presented the General Secretary of Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere Chief Olusola Ebiseni and a former commissioner, Mr Dayo Awude as the party’s governorship and deputy governorship candidate.
Chief Ebiseni, also a former commissioner in Ondo state, while addressing journalists in Akure, alongside his running mate, Awude, assured that if elected, his administration would bring back all round development projects the state and party were known for.
Chief Ebiseni pointed out that his plans was to rebuild Ondo state, revive and surpass existing projects such as the mother and child hospital, free shuttle buses for students, free education for primary and secondary school students, construction of new roads and provision of security for all residents, including farmers.
He said the experience gained from the administration of former Governor Olusegun Mimiko would help him in restoring hope of the common man in Ondo state.
Chief Ebiseni posited that a blue print to tackle insecurity in the state have been drafted while he would collaborate with other neighboring states and security agencies to ensure a crime free Ondo state.
On his part,the deputy governorship candidate and a former commissioner for youth and sports development in Ondo state Mr Dayo Awude said the labour party was ready to put smile on the faces of the people through job creation, employment for youths and called for more support from the people of Ondo state ahead of the November 16th governorship election.
Some LP chieftains from Ondo state and national levels including a former labour union leader Mr Abdulwaheed Omar were present at the ceremony.
