The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) and Ekiti State Government have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to ensure the smooth operation of the newly established Ekiti State Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport in Ado-Ekiti.

The MOU, signed at NAMA’s headquarters annex in Lagos, outlines a joint commitment to delivering exceptional air traffic control services.

As contained in a statement, the partnership aims to ensure the safe and efficient takeoff and operation of the airport.

NAMA’s Managing Director, Mr. Farouk Umar, emphasized the importance of the MOU as a foundation for a successful collaboration.

Mr. Farouk represented by the Director, of Legal Services and Company Secretary, Mrs Rita Egbadon, described the agreement as “a symbol of action, cooperation, and shared vision,” adding that it would prioritize customer satisfaction and the project’s success.

Representative of the Ekiti state government and Secretary Government, Dr. Habibat Adubiaro expressed optimism about the airport’s potential to boost tourism, facilitate air travel, and contribute to economic growth.

She highlighted the partnership with NAMA as a testament to both parties’ commitment to advancing aviation infrastructure in Nigeria.
