A first class monarch in Ondo State, Oba Adefarakanmi Agbede has called on both federal and state governments to urgently find a lasting solution to high cost of foods in the country in the bid to tackle economic hardship.
Oba Agbede, who is the Olowa of Igbara-oke in Ifedore local government area made the call in an interview with Positive FM at his palace.
The monarch observed that the high cost of food and insecurity were gradually resulting in food crisis adding that this could increase the level of poverty in the Country.
He suggested massive production of food by local governments while farm settlements should be built across rural areas with adequate security to safeguard the lives of farmers from attacks.
On the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State, Oba Adefarakanmi Agbede urged both the gladiators and the electorate not to jeopardize the peace of the state before, during and after the poll.
He advised parents to caution their children and wards against political thuggery even as the monarch urged politicians to support whoever emerges winner of the election for overall development of Ondo State.
Oba Agbede who applauded residents of Igbara-oke for being peaceful at all times encouraged them to sustain the atmosphere as this would attract investors to the community.
