Intellectuals, stakeholders in the academics and eminent personalities have celebrated the life and works of an elderstatesman and chieftain of Afenifere, Bashorun Seinde Arogbofa with a book presentation in Akure.
The book tittled “Tales and voices” an anthology is in honour of Bashorun Arogbofa and was compiled by the association of Nigerian authors, Ondo state chapter.
The occasion was a rain of accolades for the Afenifere chieftain whom many described as an epitome of knowledge that had impacted the academic sphere.
Reviewing the book, a don at the Adekunle Ajasin university, Akungba Akoko, professor Busuyi Mekusi said the book was a beacon of hope and a voice for the oppressed,
Professor Mekusi expressed the hope that the book would reawaken reading culture in youths.

Another Don, professor Bayo Aborishade observed that books would continue to pass the message of empathy, justice and shape the minds of young writers who had taken the challenge of ensuring that literally works thrived in school.
Special guest at the occasion and Ondo state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa represented by his deputy, Dr Olayide Adelami charged the youths to learn from Bashorun Arogbofa by contributing to humanity and be an agent of change.
In a remark, Bashorun Arogbofa who could not hide his joy described writing as his legacy and gift to humanity.
Bashorun Arogbofa charged government at all levels to encourage writers by patronizing them as this would boost the morale of intellectuals.
