The National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mary Idele Alile, has commended Ondo state governor Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa for promoting women’s empowerment and inclusion in administration.
Mrs Alile, who commended the governor for creating political opportunities for women, noted the significant increase in female participation in governance under his leadership.
The National Women Leader who was in company of other women leaders in Ondo state gave the commendation while addressing journalists after a visit to Governor Aiyedatiwa in Akure.
The women leader affirmed that Governor Aiyedatiwa’s inclusion of women in decision-making processes, ensuring they are integral to the state’s is in alignment with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
Mr Alile however called on other state governors across the country to emulate governor Aiyedatiwa’s example by including more women in their administration.
She further urged women in Ondo State to rally behind Governor Aiyedatiwa ahead of the November 16 gubernatorial election, emphasizing the importance of continuing his efforts to empower women.
Among those in attendance at the event included the Commissioner for Women Affairs, Mrs Lola Fagbemi, Special Adviser on Women Affairs, Dr. Seun Osamaye among others.
