The House of Representatives has donated the sum one hundred million Naira to alleviate the sufferings of victims of the recent flood disasters in Borno State.

The Chairman of Northern regional Caucus, Alhaji Ado Doguwa made this known when he led a special delegation of the House to sympathize and commiserate with the Government and the people of the Borno State over the unfortunate incident.
Alhaji Doguwa commended President Bola Tinubu for his prompt and swift response to the plight of the people of Borno state.
He explained that the support by the Federal Government, House of Representatives and other concerned individuals and organizations will go s long way in addressing the plights of the affected victims.

“We also pledge the National Assembly’s readiness to liaise with the federal Government to come up with a legislative framework or any possible budgetary intervention to help states government to address the impacts of flood disaster in the country,”
The delegation visited the governor of the state, Prof Babagana Zulum, in the state capital.
