Hundreds of All progressive congress APC members in the Northern senatorial district of Ondo state trooped out to welcome Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa 2024 governorship campaign train to the cenotaph in Ikare.
The members drawn from various towns and wards in Akoko area in carnival mood displayed various placards canvassing support for the party.
Addressing the people , senator representing Ondo North senatorial district Senator Jide Ipinsagba disclosed Ondo APC lawmakers at the national assembly had unanimously endorsed governor Ayedatiwa to continue with his quality leadership .
Also speaking , Party State chairman , Mr Ade Adetimehin asked the members to mobilize for APC victory.
Earlier in his interactions with market women and groups of youth shortly before arriving the cenotaph in Ikare Governor Aiyedatiwa said in other to curb the incessant accidents along the major road at Akungba Akoko in Akoko South West local government area his administration would dualise the road and construct an overhead bridge on it for pedestrians.
The Governor stressed that the government had in the last few months considered various options before settling for the dualisation of the road and the overhead bridge.
According to him, the dualisation of the road will start from Ikare Akoko and run through the frontage of the main gate of the Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko without removing the barricade on the road.
The campaign train included deputy governor Olayide Adelami, speaker Ondo state house of assembly Mr Olamide Oladiji , former deputy governor Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo,member representing Akoko north East/West federal constituency Mr Ife Ehindero,political appointees in the northern senatorial district among others.
