Ondo state governor and the gubernatorial candidate of the APC in the November 16th governorship election, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa has vowed to fix the deplorable roads in Ifon, Idogun and Imeri towns, all in Ire-Akari Local Council Development Authority LCDA.
The governor gave the commitment when he led his campaign train to the palace of the Alani of Ido Ani Oba Olufemi Olutoye.
Governor Aiyedatiwa while emphasizing the importance of good road network to the growth of the state and nation economy told the people he wouldn’t make empty promises affirming that the road reconstruction would be included in next year’s budget for immediate consideration.
He disclosed that the state ministry of work was in collaboration with the federal ministry of works to help in fixing the federal roads in the area
The Governor also appreciated the people of Ire-Akari LCDA, Ose local government for their support and promised to redouble efforts, at strengthening security agencies to enhance the protection of the people.
Addressing the Governor’s campaign train , the Alani of Ido-Ani,Oba Olufemi Olutoye represented by the Onidogun of Idogun , Oba Moses Ekundayo -Bakare and High Chief Dele Olapeju pleaded for deployment of more teachers to schools and medical and health personnel to their hospitals.
Speaking on behalf of the monarchs in Ose local government, the Onimoru of Imoru Oba Rotimi Obamuagun asked the government to do more in tackling security challenges and provision of farm inputs for the rural dwellers.
