The Ondo State government will continue to invest in the health and education sectors for the benefit of the people of the state.
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa made this known while performing the ceremonial groundbreaking and foundation laying of the senate building of University of Medical Sciences, UNIMED, Ondo town.
The governor who spoke on the importance of quality health care for the people emphasized on training and research in the health sector to make it efficient and productive.
He said the government would see to the completion of infrastructure in UNIMED to produce a well trained medical and health personnel for the nation.
Also speaking, former Governor Olusegun Mimiko appreciated successive governments for sustaining the vision noting that the institution was established to produce world class medical experts.
The Osemawe of Ondo kingdom Oba Victor Kiladejo pledged the community’s support for the institution.
