The remains of late Pa Afolabi Abiona Akingbelurega have been committed to mother earth in Idanre with children, families and sympathizers bidding him farewell.


At the burial service held at Baptist Church, Yaba-Idanre, Rev. Michael Aina described late Pa Akingbelurega as a devout , zealous, generous and easy going family man who served God and his community well.

He charged all mortals to do away with sinful life and accept Jesus Christ before death while also urging children of the deceased to emulate his virtues .

One of his children , Mr Oladipo Afolabi described their late father as very caring, God fearing, generous to a fault and zealous for communal development.

Also , the secretary of Araromi residents quarters said Pa Akingbelurega was a great lover of people, blessed with team work spirit and committed to development of the community.

Aged 82 , Late Pa Akingbelurega was the Chairman of Araromi Zone of Yaba Quarters, Idanre for many decades.

Guests who came to celebrate the life of Pa Akingbelurega were later treated to a rich reception at Olofin Anglican Grammar School, Idanre .
