Chairman of the Ondo State Independent Electoral commission (ODIEC), Dr Joseph Aremo has described the rescheduled Ondo West local government election as peaceful and an improvement.

Dr Aremo stated this while monitoring the exercise in the council area .

He expressed satisfaction that all the electoral guidelines were strictly followed by ODIEC officials conducting the election.

Dr Aremo also commended the voters for conducting themselves peacefully during the Local government election.

The ODIEC Boss said the complaint of the NNPP was addressed in the rescheduled election with a view to creating a level playing ground for all participating Political parties.

He assured residents of the state that, ODIEC would not compromise its stand to conduct the most credible election in the history of Ondo state.

Sixteen local government election results have so far arrived the commission’s headquarters in Akure , the state capital while two council areas of Owo and Ondo West are still being awaited before final collation and announcement of results by the commission.
