The new Federal commissioner for the National Population Commission, NPC in Ondo State, Mrs Olukemi Iyantan has assumed office in Akure, the state capital.
Mrs Iyantan who was accompanied by family ,friends and associates was delightfully welcomed by staff of the commission led by the State director, Mrs Olayinka Chijoke .
In a prayer session to usher in Mrs Iyantan to the office, Pastor Chris Akinyemi prayed that her tenure would bring remarkable progress to the state and the Federal .
In a remark, the commissioner, appreciated God and President Bola Tinubu for the opportunity to serve the country and promised to hit the ground running starting off with immediate meeting of stakeholders on the importance of census for national development.
The state director, NPC , Ondo, Mrs Chijoke pledged a good working relationship with the new commissioner.
Others at the event, including, Pastor Festus Awelewa expressed confidence in Mrs Iyantan’ s ability to perform well in her new position.
