In a colorful ceremony held in Hong town, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State presented a staff of office to Mr, Alheri Bulus Nyako, marking a historic milestone as the first Tol Huba of Hong chiefdom.
This achievement comes after years of struggle by the Huba people.
At the Coronation in Governor Fintiri emphasized that the creation of chiefdoms and emirates in the State was aimed to correct historical errors and promote development, good governance, and unity among citizens.
He encouraged the new Tol Huba to consider himself a leader of all, mobilizing his people for greater development across the fourteen districts in his domain.
In his acceptance speech, Tol Huba Alheri Bulus Nyako acknowledged the struggles of over hundred years that led to this moment.
He therefore assured the people of his commitment to fairness, justice, equity, transparency, and accountability, promoting unity, peace, and security in line with the aspirations of this present administration.
The event was attended by dignitaries, including the Lamido Adamawa, Dr. Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Mustapha, represented by the Wali Adamawa, Alhaji Abdulkadir Aminu Mbamba.
The paramount ruler expressed confidence in the Tol Huba’s ability to deliver to the expectations of the Huba people.
