The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists , NUJ , Ondo State Council Prince Leke Adegbite, has reaffirmed his commitment to enhancing the welfare and professional development of journalists in the state as he seeks re-election.
Prince Adegbite, a journalist with Radio Nigeria stated this while obtaining nomination form for Chairmanship in the 2025 NUJ election at the Press Centre in Akure.
Surrounded by supporters, Prince Adegbite expressed his unwavering dedication to advancing the union with his campaign slogan, “The Greater Height.”
Other candidates who also picked their nomination forms were the current secretary , Mr. Meshach Olaoluwa of the State Information Chapel, vying for the position of Secretary, and Mrs. Maria Famakinwa of Hope Newspaper, contesting for the position of Treasurer.
Speaking with journalists after the event, the Secretary of the NUJ Election Committee (NUJECO), Mrs. Augustina Okinedo, confirmed that the sale of nomination forms would close on March 12, 2025, while the election is scheduled for April 8, 2025.
