The Ondo State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ has begun its weeklong nawoj 2025 week with o a special Thanksgiving service to appreciate God for His protection and guidance .

The NAWOJ Thanksgiving which took place at Favour Generation Church, Fanibi, Akure recorded huge turnout of female media professionals cladded in the customized muflar and beautiful attires.

The event was not just about women journalists as they were along side there male counterpart who were on hand to join the celebration.

Earlier in a sermon , a cleric pastor Julius Abiodun charged christians to imbibe the culture of praising God at all times regardless of any situation.

Taking his scripture from the book of second Samuel chapter 6 verse 12, pastor Abiodun said the gift of life was not about how well christians pray or give but for the mercy of God that have always been available to mankind.

The cleric in charge of the church pastor Adetunji Adeleye thank journalists in the state for upholding professionalism and supporting the state government in bringing the dividend of democracy especially in the area of security to the people of the state.

The chairman nawoj press week Comrade Foluke Amodu said it was necessary to kick off the weeklong event with God.


On his part,the chairman Nigerian union of journalist NUJ Ondo state council prince Leke Adegbite expressed his appreciation to God that despite the challenges surrounding the job, no journalist in the state had lost his or her life while carrying out an assignment.
