The 9th National Triennial conference of Zumratul Islamiyyah Society Nigeria , ZISN has asked the leadership in Nigeria to address squarely economic hardship , social injustice and moral decadence among youths in the country.
The conference held in Akure the Ondo State capital posited that it was the collective responsibility of everyone to address these challenges with wisdom, unity and unwavering faith in Allah’s guidance.
Speaking on the essence of the group,
the National President , Alhaji Mutiu Gbajumo pointed out that the society was mainly established to promote both Western and Islamic education at the Muslim families.
“The society was founded on 27th December 1927 by the founding fathers as a result of the dare need to establish schools for Muslim children. We all remember the influence of our colonial masters here with establishment of schools and Christian Religious Centers.”
Alhaji Gbajumo then praised Gbajumo the founding fathers of the 98 years old society for their dedication.
“The founding fathers and succeeding generations over the years established schools in many parts in the country including Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, Kwara, Kaduna and Zamfara states. It is very humbling seeing schools set up in 1934 still functioning.”
The ZISN President disclosed that the society came to Akure to lay a foundation of a modern Islamic Center to propagate the teachings of Islam in the State and beyond.
Alhaji Gbajumo therefore called for generous donations towards the laudable plan of ZISN to serve humanity, uplift the oppressed and spread peace everywhere.
Speaking on the topic “Gratitude amidst Scarcity, ” the guest lecturer and the Chief Imam, Khaleel Fawehinmi Mosque, government house, Akure, Dr Yunus Anola urged Nigerians to manage their resources to cater for their tomorrow.
“Nobody in the mist of abundance he or she will experience scarcity even if it is a bit of an atom.”
Dr Anola charged the Muslim umahs to propagate the course of Islam at all times.
“No scan can know the destiny of a child in the womb but can only tell the gender status.”
The cleric stressed that most of the problems humanity was facing was caused by people themselves.
On his part, Chairman, ZISN local organizing committee, Alhaji Kunle Sanni appreciated Allah and supporters for the launch of the over nine hundred million naira edifice to promote Islam in Ondo state.
Representatives across the country attended the three day program.#
