The Sole Administrator of Rivers State, rtd Vice Admiral Ibok Ette-Ibas, has failed to show up for a meeting with the House of Representatives Ad-hoc Committee on Rivers State Oversight led by the House Leader, Prof Julius Ihonvbere.
The Committee, set up by the Speaker House of Representatives Dr. Tajudeen Abbas, had initially invited the Sole Administrator to appear before the Committee on the 17th of April 2025 but it was cancelled following a request from the Sole Administrator for the meeting to be rescheduled.
The meeting was later rescheduled for Thursday, April 24, 2025, but the Sole Administrator again failed to turn up, this time, no reasons were given.
However there was closed door meeting by the members of the Committee despite the failure of the Sole Administrator to appear before the Committee as scheduled.
The Chairman of the Committee Professor Ihonvbere said the Committee was still working and would issue a statement regarding the failed meeting with the Rivers State Sole Administrator.
