Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the immunisation of 2,174 intending pilgrims ahead of the 2025 Hajj exercise.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony held at the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board’s premises, Ilorin, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Abdulsalam Abdulkadir described the immunisation as a mandatory requirement by the Saudi government for all pilgrims.
He said the vaccination is crucial for ensuring the health and safety of pilgrims during the Hajj pilgrimage.
According to him, the immunization program is designed to prevent the spread of diseases and ensure a safe and healthy experience for pilgrims.
Alhaji Abdulkadir said the first batch of intending pilgrims from the state are scheduled to be airlifted to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 12th May.
The Executive Secretary said the vaccination exercise will end on Wednesday 30/4/205, while the distribution of uniforms and travel bags will follows immediately.
Alhaji Abdulkadir appealed to all intending pilgrims to complete all necessary medical and travel arrangements within the stipulated timeline to ensure hitch free Hajj exercise.
