Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu has ascribed his victory and that of his Deputy, Lucky Aiyedatiwa at the supreme court to God and the people of Ondo State

Reacting to the supreme court verdict, governor Akeredolu also recognized the Legal officers who had worked tremendously to ensure that justice prevailed so that effort of the electorate who returned him to office for second time was not in futility

The governor commended the legal system for being realistic to have perused through the petitions and affirmed a solid judgement

Governor Akeredolu explained that the judgement from the result of tribunal to the supreme court showed that he won with 12 to 3 judges gallantly to affirm his victory at the 2020 Governorship election

Governor Akeredolu who reaffirmed his commitment to more developmental stride in the three senatorial districts called on the PDP candidate, Mr Eyitayo Jegede to work hand in glove with him to further develop ondo State

The Supreme Court of Nigeria had on Monday dismissed the petition filed by Mr Eyitayo Jegede of the PDP against the victory of Governor Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress in the last year governorship election

The Seven Members of the Supreme Court who sat on the case under the Chairmanship of Justice Mary Odili dismissed the petition with four Justices against three

The majority said the PDP candidate should have joined the Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni in the case from the beginning.
